Spruce Meadows National - CSI5

The ‘National’ Tournament is one of the flagship early-summer events of the Spruce Meadows Summer Series in Calgary. It follows the opening week (‘Continental’) and forms part of the prestigious North American outdoor show jumping circuit.

This week features a full international programme, including CSI5* and CSI2* competitions alongside national classes. The highlight is the Grand Prix of the National Tournament, typically held at the end of the week, where top international riders compete on the world-famous outdoor grass arenas.

Spruce Meadows is widely regarded as one of the most important equestrian venues in the world, known for its immaculate turf arenas, large-scale sport presentation, and high prize money competitions. The ‘National’ week is a key stop for riders building toward the later summer highlights, including the Pan American and North American tournaments, and ultimately the CSIO5* Masters in September.
